The deal strengthens TCS’s foothold in European automotive markets, and it also provides Porsche with a lever to accelerate its AI-first transformation.
Porsche and TCS have completed two concurrent transactions. On one side, TCS acquires 100% of MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH, Porsche AG’s management and IT consulting subsidiary, for €320 million. On the other side, the two groups sign a five-year services contract valued at €1.25 billion. This contract is dedicated to the industrial deployment of AI across Porsche’s operations.
The objective is clear: to transform Porsche into an “AI-first” company. This transformation spans multiple fronts—engineering, manufacturing, operations, customer experience, and enterprise-wide transformation.
The scope also encompasses the development of next-generation automotive technologies and software-defined mobility platforms. At the heart of the arrangement, the two groups will establish an AI Mobility Centre of Excellence (CoE) dedicated to Porsche. This centre will accelerate innovation in production, engineering, and customer experience. It will also convert AI prototypes into secure and scalable solutions.
Why MHP changes the game for TCS
MHP is a premium consulting firm specializing in automotive and industrial sectors. It is already a partner of Porsche and other major European automakers. Integrating MHP into the TCS group gives the Indian company a base of European consultants and industry experts. This strengthens its ability to win and deliver AI/IT projects in the automotive field, beyond traditional infrastructure and BPO services.
Moreover, the transaction remains subject to the customary regulatory and antitrust approvals. The closing is expected within three to four months following the announcement, targeting the end of 2026.
