Jamespot Acquires Alinto, Adds Messaging to Its Offering

Jamespot, a French provider of cloud-based collaborative tools, has acquired Alinto, a Lyon-based operator of professional messaging that has been active since 2000.

This marks Jamespot’s ninth acquisition since 2014. The transaction amount was not disclosed.

Alinto offers professional messaging solutions and the security of electronic exchanges. The company counts more than 1,000 client businesses, nearly a million users, and handles over 100 million emails daily for operators, hosting providers, companies, and public sector organizations.

Its offering notably rests on Sogomail, an email server built on the open-source SOGo technology, complemented by security, filtering, and deliverability solutions.

Prior to this acquisition, Jamespot offered a collaborative platform (Jamespot.pro) and an artificial intelligence module (SafeBrain), but did not have a messaging solution.

With Alinto, the company expands its offering and now features three pillars: messaging, collaboration, and AI, each backed by an infrastructure operated in France or Europe.

The combined entity now counts more than 70 employees. According to Jamespot, the sales teams from the two companies will work in a coordinated manner, each maintaining their area of expertise (mail for Alinto, collaboration and AI for Jamespot), to offer combined solutions to their respective client bases.
