France Galop has appointed Thomas Julien to the position of Director of Information Systems and Digital Transformation. He thus joins its executive committee.
Previously in charge of IT studies, he succeeds Edouard Chalouhi, who held the post for five years and whom Dawn Liphardt had spoken with to discuss his duties.
“It is in this continuity that I wish to frame this new phase, while opening a new cycle based on strong convictions: a DSI close to the business lines, fully at the service of the organization’s transformation, and capable of anticipating tomorrow’s challenges,” he wrote on his LinkedIn account.
France Galop is facing a model crisis that requires a deep rethink of its organization and its network of racecourses.
The parent company of flat racing expects a €60 million decrease in resources paid by PMU and foresees a deficit of around €45 million in 2026. To try to restore its finances, it has launched a cost-cutting program, which is accompanied by personnel reductions and an optimization of costs related to its sites.
