Nutanix Acquires French Startup Ryax Technologies

The hybrid cloud specialist Nutanix is acquiring Ryax Technologies, a young French company that develops orchestration tools and intelligent resource management for artificial intelligence workloads.

Founded in France, Ryax has built a platform capable of automatically distributing AI workloads across environments such as private data centers, hyperscalers, and neoclouds. The goal is to simplify the technical management of these heterogeneous environments so that teams can deploy and evolve their AI applications without having to handle the underlying complexity themselves.

The transaction amount was not disclosed.

Concretely, Ryax’s technology addresses two specific needs.

First, it optimizes the use of available compute resources, including GPUs and CPUs, to minimize waste. Second, it automatically allocates AI workloads to the most economically advantageous hardware, enabling companies to better manage their spending while maintaining strong performance.

A Context Shaped by GPU Shortages

This acquisition comes as the rise of agentive AI increases the demand for inference capacity. Facing a shortage of available GPUs and infrastructures spread across multiple providers, companies are seeking solutions to unify resource management, reduce costs, and avoid hardware waste.

Many organizations also struggle to move their AI projects from experimental phases to production, hampered by complex integrations and configurations that still require manual setup. This is precisely the challenge Ryax’s platform aims to solve, by automating the management of infrastructure, data, hardware, and code.

Nutanix plans to integrate Ryax technologies into Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) and Nutanix Enterprise AI (NAI), as part of their upcoming releases.

According to Andry Razafinjatovo, CEO of Ryax Technologies, this closer collaboration with Nutanix should help customer organizations advance their agentive AI projects more easily, regardless of the underlying infrastructure they rely on.

The entire Ryax team will join Nutanix’s staff in France and will continue developing the technology from the country. Nutanix notes that this move will not have a significant financial impact on its accounts.
