Bouygues Telecom has named Georgina Lopez to the post of Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this new role, she will be responsible for ensuring that the information system delivers service quality that meets the expectations of both internal and external customers, supporting the necessary evolutions of the IT system for the operator’s success in its market, and continually improving the performance and agility of the systems, notably through innovative architectures and methodologies and by leveraging the potential of artificial intelligence.
A trained engineer, Georgina Lopez joined Bouygues Telecom in 1999. She has held several managerial positions across the technical divisions, information systems, the network, and the company as a whole. In 2022, she was named head of the Product and Services Directorate, in charge of connectivity and television solutions for retail customers. In this role, she is notably steering the launch of the new Bbox WiFi 7 in early 2025.
Long-time advocate for diversity and inclusion, Georgina Lopez has served as president of the Bouygt’elles women’s network since 2020. This initiative aims to strengthen the representation of women within Bouygues Telecom’s management bodies and in technical streams, in line with the values upheld by the company.
