Salesforce plans to enhance its Agentforce platform by offering customers more options to deploy AI agents within their customer service operations and to streamline integration with existing IT systems.
This is why the Fin acquisition stood out in the market, thanks to an agent capable of autonomously resolving complex requests end-to-end across a multitude of communication channels: live chat, email, WhatsApp, SMS, phone, and Slack.
This tool is built on Apex, a proprietary AI model specifically designed for customer support.

The acquisition also brings to Salesforce a team of AI-focused engineers as well as a global installed base of more than 30,000 customers.
This packaged, ready-to-use offering will notably enable rapid deployment options for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) as well as for certain commercial organizations.
The deal is valued at around $3.6 billion, subject to customary adjustments to the purchase price. The transaction remains contingent on the satisfaction of standard closing conditions, including obtaining the required regulatory approvals.
Completion of the acquisition is expected in Salesforce’s fiscal year 2027 fourth quarter, which ends in late January.
