It’s going to take some getting used to: the “Joule Agents” are proliferating in SAP’s catalog.
The German publisher has just announced 14 more. They will be integrated by mid-2026 into some of its software.
Four of these agents target the finance professions:
- Accounting Accruals (journal bookkeeping)
- Cash Management (treasury management)
- International Trade Classification (compliance with international trade rules)
- Receipts Analysis (expense receipt processing)
Three are in the domain of the supply chain:
- Change Record Management (change control)
- Product Planning and Operations (production planning and operations management)
- Supplier Onboarding (supplier onboarding)
Three are also in HR:
- Career and Talent Development (career development)
- HR Service (handling employee requests)
- People Intelligence (retention and skills management)
One agent is aimed at procurement (Bid Analysis; bid analysis). Two address process governance (Process Content Recommender and Workspace Administration). An additional sector-specific agent (Utilities Customer Self-Service, targeting energy suppliers) is included.
These 14 agents join 17 others. Here they are, with their development stage, the products they pertain to and – for some – a few of SAP’s quantified promises attached to them.
