Christophe Canguilhem Appointed Stormshield’s New CEO

Stormshield appoints a new CEO.

Christophe Canguilhem will succeed Pierre-Yves Hentzen as of January 1, 2027. This three-month transition period will enable him to work alongside the outgoing leader, who will remain in the post until then.

The incoming CEO points to 25 years of experience in aerospace and defense. He spent nearly two decades at Airbus on helicopter programs, before being named in 2022 to head Survey Copter, the Airbus Helicopters subsidiary specializing in lightweight tactical drone systems. His track record, however, does not include any publicly disclosed cybersecurity experience.

His mandate will be to continue Stormshield’s development in France and internationally and to strengthen its position as a trusted European player. He promises to consolidate the publisher’s foothold in sovereign European cybersecurity.

Pierre-Yves Hentzen, the Stormshield president since 2017, will take on new duties within the Airbus Group on the same date, as part of the expansion of its cybersecurity activities.
