MokN Raises €2.6M to Develop Its Solution for …

The French startup MokN, founded in 2024 and specializing in proactive detection of compromised credentials, has raised €2.6 million in seed funding from Moonfire, OVNI Capital, Kima Ventures, and several angel investors.

MokN is developing a ‘phish-back’ technology that retrieves stolen credentials before they are used or sold on the dark web. The solution relies on deploying decoy access portals (VPNs, webmail, etc.) that mimic the company’s environment. When a cybercriminal attempts to use credentials obtained through phishing, they are transmitted to the security teams, who can neutralize the threat upstream.

In a year, the startup has turned a self-funded project into a solution adopted by more than 20 clients, including several CAC 40 groups. It claims more than 500,000 users protected and annual recurring revenue above €1 million.

MokN has also earned several distinctions in the cybersecurity ecosystem, notably the Public Prize at the Assises de la Sécurité conference. It is among the three startups selected for the 4th edition of the Hexatrust acceleration program.

“Only 18 months ago, MokN signed its very first contracts. Today, reaching €1M ARR still feels a bit surreal… But we are more determined than ever to keep pushing further,” says Gautier Bugeon, co-founder and CEO of MokN, on LinkedIn.

With this funding round, the startup plans to structure its development in France and concentrate its commercial efforts on the United States, a market it identifies as a priority where it does not observe direct competition. Part of the leadership team will relocate there to accompany the expansion.

MokN also plans to strengthen its research and development capabilities and to broaden its workforce, particularly for product roles in France and for commercial and marketing positions for international growth.
