OVHcloud: Octave Klaba Reassumes the CEO Role

Looking back at 2018 in OVHcloud’s governance, Octave Klaba, the group’s founder, resumed the role of CEO. He had since 2018 served as Chairman of the Board and chaired the group’s strategic and CSR committees.

It was at that moment that he recruited Michel Paulin, a seasoned telecom executive from SFR, to take on the post of chief executive officer, to steer the group toward the niche of a “sovereign and sustainable cloud” in competition with the American hyperscalers, notably through the adoption of the new name OVHcloud and the 2021 initial public offering.

One year after Michel Paulin’s departure, Octave Klaba thus took back full control of day-to-day operations. “The idea is to unite vision, strategy and execution so that our customers can benefit more quickly from ten years of heavy investment in data centers (250 MW) and in software (40 Public Cloud products),” he explained in a LinkedIn post.

The Billion-Euro Revenue Milestone Reached in 2025

A strategic plan dubbed “Step Ahead” for the 2026-2030 period will be unveiled in the coming months.

“In addition to continuing to support Corporate and Digital Scalers clients, I am returning for our historic Digital Starters—the “small customers” as they call them—with a view to delivering innovation, AI, better price/performance, enhanced support, and simpler billing… the months ahead will be rich in announcements,” continued Octave Klaba.

In 2025, OVHcloud for the first time crossed the one‑billion‑euro revenue threshold (€1,084.6 million) and posted a positive net income (€400 million), with an EBITDA of 40.4%.
