The 2025 Cyber Campus Summit: Promising Real-World Operations

Following the “totem site” and the “pairing station,” the Cyber Campus should evolve in this way, according to its president Joffrey Célestin-Urbain.

He also mentions a “multipronged connection platform.” The idea is the same: to bind the French cybersecurity ecosystem to European ecosystems. This would thus generate greater trust—especially on the economic front. “Behind that, if you have this trust, you can develop cross-purchasing mechanisms. It won’t work if we do not have a sense of belonging. And that is built from ecosystems like the Campus.”

The promise of “partially harmonized” services between the Cyber Campuses

At the national level, regional campuses will be essential. “In recent months, we have really revitalized the exchanges”, assures Joffrey Célestin-Urbain. “The cockpit managed by the [national campus] had been a bit deserted; we’ve reinvested in it.” The joint action plan remains to be defined. All we are promised is: “No matter which entry point you choose into the network of campuses, [an access] to high-quality content that provides you with a number of harmonized services.”

The notion of an ecosystem must constitute the “non-physical complement” to the rental of spaces, which currently represents 78% of revenues. In the background, the departure of some tenants. The community was right to question what was happening with the Cyber Campus,a sleeping beauty that thrived on the momentum of its initial political impulse, admits Joffrey Célestin-Urbain. And looking ahead, he also envisions what he calls a “meta-ecosystem services layer.” In other words, a set of services to accompany companies that want to establish themselves in cybersecurity. A “non-market” layer will be added there. In other words, the production of positive externalities, of activities in the public interest. This will be a discussion to have with the State with, in mind, political constraints and public finances… We can say that in the short and medium term, there is only one KPI: resident satisfaction, nonetheless states the president of the Cyber Campus.
