Wallix Leverages Malizen’s AI to Strengthen Its Solutions

Wallix, a leader in securing identities and access, has announced its acquisition of Malizen, a company specialized in AI-driven user behavior analytics. The deal valued at €1.6 million will bolster proactive analytics and threat-detection capabilities across the group’s solutions.

Based in Rennes, at the heart of the Cyber Excellence hub, Malizen emerged from research conducted at Inria and the University of Rennes 1, under the leadership of its founder Christopher Humphries. Its technology, known as User Behavior Analytics, relies on analyzing the behavior of users—both humans and machines—to identify anomalies and anticipate cyberattacks.

Wallix plans to integrate these capabilities starting in 2026 into its IAM (Identity and Access Management) and PAM (Privileged Access Management) software suites, in order to strengthen the resilience of its clients’ IT and OT infrastructures.

The move is expected to enable Wallix to address more effectively several market segments: large enterprises facing high volumes of access, industrial companies seeking strategic autonomy, and MSPs looking to boost their analytics capabilities at scale.
